Wondering what to do with those files in the zip file you downloaded after purchasing? I'm here to help! Just follow the simple steps below and you'll be planning out the season in no time.
(Disclaimer: The following tutorial is for Silhouette Studio Basic Edition, therefore I'm using the PNG file in the examples. I don't have Designer Edition so I can't show you how the PDF would work, but I'm pretty sure the steps are basically the same. You can always hand cut the stickers as well, a 3/8" hand held circle cutter would work for the circles.)
First, print the PNG file on sticker paper. Make sure you select Scale to Fit, Fit Entire Paper (on a Mac, not quite sure what the wording is on a PC). If these settings aren't correct, your stickers will not be aligned correctly when you go to cut them. Place the printed stickers on the top left corner of your cutting mat and load it into your Silhouette.
Open Silhouette Design Studio. Click File, Open, and find your PNG schedule stickers file wherever you have it saved. Double click it and it will open in the software. Don't resize it as it is already the correct size. Make sure your page is 8.5 x 11 and your cutting mat is showing. Turn on the registration marks and make sure they are the same setting as below to avoid any registration errors (length .250, thickness .30 and inset .625).
Open the Trace panel. Click Select Trace Area and drag your cursor around the stickers (you can do all at one time or section by section, whichever you prefer). Turn the threshold up to 100 and click Trace Outer Edge.
It seems like nothing has happened but when you move your PNG file over you will be able to see the red cut lines that were generated by the trace. You can now delete the sticker PNG file. Make sure not to move the red cut lines even a smidge or your stickers won't cut correctly.
Go to your Cut settings and make sure the material and blade settings are correct (this will vary from user to user as different sticker papers and machines cut differently - use the settings you have found work best for you for kiss cuts). Use the Cut by Line option (only red should show up), click next and send to your machine.
Once your machine is done cutting, unload the mat and gently peel the page off of it. Personally, I went ahead and put the game stickers in my planner and trimmed the W/L stickers to keep in my sticker pouch, but this part is up to you!
